Missionary Girls. This is for YOU.

Two posts in one day. Woah. We're getting crazy. But I just had to get this out there. If you have a missionary, you have probably experienced this same conversation.

"So I hear you're waiting for a missionary??"
-Person you don't care about
"Yep! ____ months down!"
"Two years is a LONG time. A lot can happen. You know that, right? You should definitely be dating and not JUST writing your missionary."
-Person who should mind their own business

WHO ASKED YOU?!

I mean seriously. You have no idea what you're talking about. No one asked for your advice so don't give it. Because frankly, I don't want it. I don't need it. I know it's crazy that I'm waiting for a boy for 2 whole years. I know that there is a slight chance its not going to work out. But guess what? He's my best friend. And I'm not about to give up on him right when he needs me most. So just turn around and walk away. Taylor Swift explains it perfectly in her new song, "Ours".

"Seems like theres always someone who disapproves. They'll judge it like they no about me and you. And the verdict comes from those with nothing else to do, the jury's out. My choice is you. So don't you worry your pretty little mind. People throw rocks at things that shine and life makes love look hard. The stakes are high, the waters rough, but this love is OURS."

So to all you "Missionary Girlfriends" out there, stay strong. We can do it! He will be home soon enough. God be with them til we meet again. (:

HEY PEEPS.

Again, although I know no one really cares about or reads this blog, IM BACK. Woop! Woop! Get excited. And now that I have deleted my facebook, and have no other way of getting my feelings written down, I most likely will begin to consistently post.
Christmas Day was THEE BEST DAY EVERRR. The Searle family (My second family) was very kind and let me come over so I could skype with my missionary for 2 whole hours and I couldn't have been more happy. He stole my heart all over again and I absolutely loved it.  He gave me a necklace as part of my Christmas present and every time I wear it I make sure everyone in the room knows who it is from. For those of you who know me, this is kinda a big deal because I normally keep to myself about personal stuff. I just can't get enough of him.
This guy right here...He's my best friend.
Seriously though, even my own mother is twitterpated by him.  As she was looking at the pictures he sent for Christmas she says, "Oh my gosh. I looove him. My heart is like pounding right now looking at these. All I can say is he is going to be a great father to my grandchildren." hahaha YES. Yes, he will.

Scrambled Post

I know, I have been a horrible blogger for the past 2 weeks. I apologize. Not like anyone really reads this blog anyways..ha. But here's a little bit of what has been going on!

Paint Dance:
Second greatest dance I have ever been to. (#1 being Prom junior year) Honestly. It was a complete BLAST. There was paint being sprayed everywhere and I even joined in on the fun! The night didn't have the greatest end..but that's a story for a different day. Here are some pictures of the fun!

BEFORE
 AFTER

I just smile every time I look at these pictures. Ah! So fun. College is great.

Longest Kissing Chain:
Utah State University is now the official world record holder for longest kissing chain and guess what?  I got to participate! How cool is that? We all just stood in line and got kissed either on the lips or cheek and then kissed the next person on the lips or cheek. Some people got really into it (if you know what I mean..yuck.) but I just stuck to the cheek. I have a missionary, remember? And by the way, so far, there is no boy up here that even comes close to Nic. Not one.

London, Stacie and I heading to the Quad!

Emily and I in the line (She couldn't keep her eyes open for any of the pictures...haha)

World Record Holders! BOO YA!

Abduction:
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Yes, Taylor Lautner is very attractive but honestly I like him a little less now that I saw "Abduction". It was THAT bad. But at least we had fun...

I love my roomies!

Aggie or Cougar??
There is a constant war going on within me on whether I am an Aggie or a Cougar.
Reasons to be an Aggie:
-I go to Utah State
-I love it here.
-Aggie pride is the GREATEST
Reasons to be a Cougar:
-Grew up a cougar
-EVERY single member of my family besides my brother has graduated or is attending BYU
-My grandpa and father played sports for them
-My grandpa and aunt teach there

I bleed blue for my Aggies AND my Cougars. Any advice??

Home:
I went home for conference this weekend and LOVED it! I got to see my family, go to the BYU vs. USU game (still not sure how I feel about that...) watch conference, eat at Pizza Factory (delicious!), visit the Searles, and relax (: Here's some pictures.

 Oh Savannah...

Classic Steven and Allie

CUTE. not.. Dessert at Sue and Barts

You can't really tell, but there were crumbs ALL OVER Tiff. She is a messy eater apparently. haha

Happy Birthday Tiffy and Logan!

Tiff:
Happy Birthday! I'm thinking about you today.  Even though I only met you once, you made such an impact on my life.  You taught me and so many other people to never give up and to never quit smiling no matter how hard the circumstance.  You changed a lot of people's lives, girly. Love you!
Logan:
Happy Birthday Dude! Thank you for always giving me the biggest hugs when you see me (: You always make me so happy! I hope you have a wonderful day and know that I love you! Eat lots of cake and ice cream!

Best 24 Hours.

This weekend I got the opportunity to go up to a cabin in Bear Lake with all the Relief Society Presidencies in my stake.  We were getting trained on how to go about our jobs and just getting to know each other.  We had such a fun time and also had such amazing spiritual experiences.  I LOVE MY PRESIDENCY!
I know you don't really care about that so here's the funny part.  My room (10 girls) stayed up talking last night for about 3 hours. And right when we got in our beds and turned off the lights, someone started banging on our window.  At first I was like, "For reals? We're all a bunch of girls. We don't need to pretend to be boys and pull pranks on each other."  So we open and blinds expecting to see a bunch of screaming girls and THERE'S A FREAKING GORILLA standing there.  Let's just say everyone in the cabin heard me scream. Then he started banging again like 5 minutes later so all of us girls were running around and freaking out. Suddenly, I realize we have a door to the outside in our room and it's unlocked...crud. So I run over there and lock it as fast as I can and when I turn around, the gorilla is walking through the door IN OUR BEDROOM!! Who the heck let the gorilla in the house?!! I, of course, screamed again and collapsed onto Sarah. hahaha Just picture a dogpile of about 8 girls in the middle of a dark room screaming their heads off with a gorilla hovering over them. hahahahaha I still laugh whenever I picture it. Anyways, the gorilla leaves and starts doing it to all the other rooms! So I follow him into one room, jump on him and take his mask off. It was a boy! We were at a Relief Society retreat and a boy is in the house dressed up like a gorilla and no one knows him...we were so confused.  Then he told us that Bishop Munk sent him.  Bishop Munk, you are lucky he was cute or you would have been in big trouble! (:

HOLY CRAP I GOT A LETTER!!!

For the last 3 weeks I have checked my mail like it was my job. Honestly.  I checked it twice everyday. And until today I hadn't gotten anything. But today, I opened my mail box and there it was. A letter from Elder Searle! I honestly was singing "Halelujiah" in my head over and over again. I can't even tell you how freaking excited I was to get this letter! It came just when I needed it. (: ahh! SO HAPPY. I GOT A LETTER! I GOT A LETTER! I GOT A LETTER! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!

Strange People

There are some really weird people at USU. And yes, this card says "Hell is for GOOD people." Some strange man handed it to Stacie while she was walking back from class. Next time I pass this guy, I am gonna walk as fast as I possibly can. Eeek!

Money Ruins Everything!

Today I went to a little fair in the Student Center about Studying Abroad. There were places like Greece, Thailand, England, Japan, Australia, etc.  I was freaking out and I wanted to go sooo bad! And then...they showed me the price. 4,100 buckaroonies. DON DON DON. Why just everything cost so much?! It's a little ridiculous.  I guess I need to start raising money... bleh.

I Feel Like This Is Weird..

Well...I really feel awkward just writing to the computer about my life. Hopefully lets get easier? Anyways, just a little introduction of my life for the first blog. 10 Facts about my life.

#1 I am a freshman in college
I absolutely love college.  I am currently attending USU, studying speech pathology and I'm pretty sure life can't get any better.
#2  I have a missionary
Yes, a missionary.  His name is Elder Nic Searle and he is serving in the Farmington, New Mexico mission but is currently in Many Farms, Arizona on a Navajo Reservation.  He absolutely loves it there and I am absolutely proud of him. I can't wait for him to get home, but we both have things to get done in the next two years so we'll see how it goes.
#3 I have 5 siblings
Well, technically I have 4 but I just include my sister-in-law as a sibling. The oldest is Steven.  He and his wife, Allie (yes, we have the same name. It's great.) live here in Logan with me which is such a blessing.  Then theres me. Next is Tiffany. She is CRAZY. But in a good way.  Everyone loves her. And last, but definitely not least, is Savannah.  She is the princess of our family and we all love her very much. I miss Tiff and Savvy dearly but I'm not too far away so visits are often.
#4 My Parentals
ARE FANTASTIC. I am so so so blessed to have such loving parents who only want the best for me.  I couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you mom and dad for everything you do for me.
#5 I love to take pictures. Like, LOVE.
I am that really annoying girl that is always saying, "Oh, I've gotta get a picture of that!" Why not take pictures? One day you're going to what to look back on a specific time and if you have pictures it's 10x better! I'm not a talented photographer or anything, I just take pictures of my friends and I hanging out.
#6 I love to play volleyball
I started playing volleyball my sophmore year of high school.  It was the greatest decision of my life.  I have made some of my very best friends while playing volleyball.  I play volleyball and it's like nothing else matters.  It's my de-stresser and it works like a charm.  Unfortunately, I am not playing college ball.  I decided I needed to focus on school work and have a job.  I go to almost every USU volleyball game though.  It's like torture. But I just can't stay away.
#7 My nickname
While playing HS volleyball I picked up the nick name, "Sunshine." If I was walking down the street and someone said "sunshine" I would respond.  It's actually weird to me when my volleyball friends call me Ali. It's even weird for them. There are different versions of the name. Some call me "Sun" others call me "SunnyD" but to me its all the same and I kinda like it (:
#8 Turkey Sandwiches
Ohhh myyy goossshhh. Turkey sandwiches are thee very best food on this earth.  BUT, they have to be made as follows: White bread, mayo (none of this miracle whip crap. It's a "miracle" that stuff still sells.), yellow mustard, thinly sliced turkey breast, pickles and a side of Original Sun Chips. Ahh. Devine.
#9 I love to sing
I'm really not a great singer. But I definitely pretend as though I am. I love to just rock out in the car with friends (or by myself..) It's so much fun to sing at the top of your lungs to your favorite song on a sunny day with the windows down and your hair blowing everywhere.  Can't you just picture it? Pure Joy.
#10 I am a Latter-Day Saint
I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I honestly don't know where I would be without it.  It has been such a cool experience to meet so many people of different religions up here at USU.  I have learned so much and it has strengthened my testimony immensely. I could go on for hours about the church but just plain and simply...The church is true. I KNOW IT IS.
